Happy Ummi's Day!

To all my friends and readers...

Mu'wiyah Ibn Jahimah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that he once came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: "O, messenger of Allah! I intend to go to jihad. I have come to you seeking your good counsel". He (the Prophet) asked him: "Is your mother alive?" "Yes" Jahimah replied. The Prophet then said "Hold fast onto (serving) her as Paradise lies near her foot"

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "A man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, who among the people is the most deserving of my good companionship?" He said, "Your mother". The man asked "Then who?" He said "Your mother". He asked "Then who?" He said "Your mother". He asked "Then who?" Prophet said "Your father."

Your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him, and that you be kind to parents. Whether one or both of them attains old age in your life, say not to them a word of contempt, nor repel them, but address them in terms of honor. And out of kindness, lower unto them the wing of humility, and say: "My Lord, bestow on them Your Mercy as they cherished me in childhood"

One ticket to Heaven, to our eternal abode, lies with our obedience and sense of duty to our mothers. They are one of the ticket bearers and hold one of our admission tickets to Paradise!
